Varying Model Iterations

Varying Iterations of the baked Geometry

Use of the lofted surface to boolean the top surface of the structure

Interior view of the ceiling (column version) of the structure

Right now I am having trouble trying to find a way to layout my laser cutting template for my model so I have created variations of my model that alternate between individually extruded boxes with will make up the structure. This presents the problem of having gaps between every column of the structure making it impossible to hold together.

My other option has been to create the boxes as walls instead of columns so that they are joined at the very top of the structure allowing the model to be held together. I have also considered using a lofted surface to be notched across the roof the structure and am still in the process of figuring out how to do so.

I find that by using the extruded columns model, it allows much more potential as it reveals the interior ceiling's use of the attractor point, giving the viewer the ability to see it's forms gradually get smaller as they move towards the center of the building.
